Community Events
The Cool Spring PTA is proud to host a variety of community events throughout the school year. The events include, the Welcome Back Picnic, Donuts with Grown ups, Family Bingo Night, Family Movie Night, the Sweetheart Dance, and Family Basketball Night. Each event is designed to encourage families and our teachers to connect with each other and provide students an opportunity to engage with their peers outside of the classroom.
After School Enrichment
The After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) is designed to allow any PTA member (parent, teacher, grandparent, etc.) the chance to teach a class after school for one hour a week for six weeks. All the classes are taught at Cool Spring. Students would remain after school from 3:00-4:00 PM on the designated ASEP day. Parents are required to pick up their student at 4:00. No transportation is provided. Need based scholarships are available.
ASEP will be on Tuesdays and there will be three six week ASEP sessions for the ’24-’25 school year. More information will be available when registration opens.
Session dates:
Fall session: September 24 – October 29
Winter session: February 4 – March 11
Spring session: April 29 – June 3
Community Programs
The PTA of Cool Springs Elementary School proudly presents a variety of Community Programs aimed at enriching the lives of our students and their families. Our programs include after-school enrichment classes, family wellness workshops, and community service projects that foster teamwork and personal growth. These initiatives are designed to enhance educational experiences and build a supportive, inclusive community.
Heritage Cluster and LCPS
Cool Spring Elementary is proud to be part of the Heritage High School Cluster which also includes John W. Tolbert, Jr. Elementary School, Harper Park Middle School, and Heritage High School. Our community benefits from a strong network of schools committed to educational excellence and collaborative programs. These initiatives are designed to enhance educational experiences.
