This week was going to be our work week, which is postponed until further notice. However, we wanted to provide you with this update.
With PTA funds, all of the brand-new furniture for the lounge was ordered and had arrived just prior to the closure, it is all in boxes just waiting to be put together! The new furniture as well as a few other items purchased by the PTA include tables, chairs, a seating area with chairs and end tables, and a desk.
We were able to secure donations from the community to purchase the following items to complete the design by DebiJo Wheatley who donated her time and services:
- Two brand new microwaves
- Clock
- Two lamps
- Keurig
- Cable art hanging system
- Donated local art
- Two beautiful new cabinets
- Counter tops,
- and donations to help stock the lounge
We don’t want to give too much away about the design, because it is still a surprise, but GOOD NEWS and update needed. 😊
